The Kanye West Self-Depreciation Express continues onward at full speed. "Eyes Closed," a previously unreleased track featuring John Legend has surfaced. Here, he dials down his ego for this more honest, laid back flow. The song opens with "I sold my soul to the devil, that's a crappy deal," and he later says "Imma only child lost in the world/word to the lonely kids." He continues the introspection and touches on his relationship with his father, someone we haven't heard him discuss much in his music. He's never shied away from self-criticism, and it works here for him, again. This was apparently left off of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and is now rumored to be from an upcoming Snoop Dogg album. I'm not sure where this will end up, but I can't imagine Snoop adding anything of substance, since there's no real reason to mention hoes and weed here, now is there?
