I'm not sure why exactly, but Emily King's debut album East Side Story completely passed me by. I heard nothing but praise from blogs and fellow music heads, but it never quite made it into my collection. However, I will definitely be tracking down a copy if these new tracks are anything to go by. According to Emily's official site, these tracks are a sort of album sampler--a glimpse into her musical mind and a suggestion of what we might hear from her if she manages to break free from label-limbo and get herself a deal.
