Bounce-Worthy: Iman Williams

Iman Williams has been bubbling away for quite some time now, releasing tracks here and there while working on her full-length debut, Stupid Human Tricks and being a contributing writer at BamaLoveSoul. The title of the album is a reference to human emotions, which as you may have guessed, comprise the bulk of the record's subject matter. The entire album was produced by her oft-collaborator BusCrates 16-Bit Ensemble and has been released in what Iman calls a "raw" format. Don't for one second think that this means low quality. On the contrary, the rawness of which Iman speaks actually adds a layer of depth to some top quality contemporary soul music. Take a listen to two of my favourite tracks below, then head on over to her Bandcamp page to check out more of the goodness. Some may think $11.99 is a little steep for an album of "unfinished" material, however, press play before you make up your mind.
