News of N.E.R.D's new album Nothing is something that I kind of pushed into the back of my mind, knowing that when the release date of November 2nd came nearer, that's all I would be hearing about. They're currently touring with The Gorillaz, yet another band whose sound draws from any influence they fancy and who I adore as much as I do N.E.R.D. "Hypnotize U" is a new track that continues to push the limits of their sound with production by Daft Punk. I don't know what it is about the blend of Daft Punk's spaceship synthesizers and Pharrell's singing voice but instead of sounding cheesy, it sounds very hypnotic.
