If you know like I know, there's nothing more frustrating than wanting a relationship to work only to have your better half give up on things. While I would probably express said frustration with a bevy of expletives and cuss words, there are (thankfully) artists like Carmen Rodgers who express it more eloquently. The Dallas vocalist expertly manages to transform those feelings of disappointment and longing into the velvety smoothness that is her latest single, "It's Me." Here, we find her in a reflective mood, as she tells her diffident lover that all he has to do is look beyond himself and realize she's the love he's been looking for. A fitting release from an album called The Bitter Suite, Rodgers certainly makes heartache sound a bit more bearable.
