'UnSung' Unearths A Gem From Tammi Terrell & Marvin Gaye

TV One's UnSung is off to a glorious start. This past Monday the new season kicked off with a very revealing look at Teddy Pendergrass and on September 20th the must-see-TV continues with an episode dedicated to songbird Tammi Terrell. Most famously known for her duets with Marvin Gaye, Terrell passed in 1970 at the far-too-young age of 24, but not before leaving behind a body of music that has stood the test of time. One of her duets with Gaye was the hit "If This World Were Mine," which went on to be covered by Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn, but the raw beauty of the original is unmatched. While making UnSung, the producers came across an acapella version of the track that they've shared with us for your listening pleasure. How sweet it is to hear these two again, and how sweet it will be to get to know more about Tammi Terrell next week on UnSung.
