Will Downing is adding a dramatic twist to the music on his newest project, Lust, Love and Lies. Due to hit stores on September 14th, Downing is billing the album as "an audio soap opera." In addition to music, the project ill also feature conversational vignettes that tell the love story of couple "Will" and "Dee," starting from their chance meeting right on down to love gone awry.

Downing admits that the idea for the ambitious project first popped into his head five years ago. "I just didn't know how to go about it at first," he says. "Then when I first started writing the songs, it started to make sense as a story." Considered to be more R&B-influenced than his previous 14 albums, Lust, Love and Lies also features an appearance by former Blackstreet member-turned gospel artist, Dave Hollister, on the gospel tune, "Safe in His Arms."

The album will be the third release from Downing since he was diagnosed with polymyositis, a muscular disorder that has since left him wheelchair-bound. However, he doesn't seem to be letting his illness keep him down, since he'll be hitting the road for the Lust, Love and Lies Tour.
