The last time we heard anything from crooner Donell Jones, he was signed to LaFace Records and promoting his 2006 album, Journey of a Gemini. Well, now the Chi-town bred vocalist is taking matters into his own hands with a new label venture and a new album. Lyrics, the first project due out on his newly-formed CandyMan label under the E1 Music umbrella, is set to drop on September 28th. It seems that music fans have been waiting for Jones' return since his first single, "Love Like This," is quickly climbing up the Urban AC chart since its release. Jones may just be heading to a city near you, too, as he takes his show on the road for a handful of dates to promote the new project. Hit the bounce for a list of tour dates, but if you don't see your city anywhere on the list, have no fear; Jones promises more dates in the future.
