SoulBounce's birthday month (and mine, too!) is shaping up to be rather musically delicious. August starts off with a boom bap at the 5th Annual Summer Spirit Festival at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. I attended the Summer Spirit Festival for the first time last year, and I had such a good time that I could have kicked myself for missing the previous years. Don't make the same mistake that I did, especially with the crazy lineup on tap for the Saturday, August 7th show. Get ready to get down to the sounds of B.o.B, Janelle Monáe, Common, The Roots, Erykah Badu and the Godfather of Go-Go, Chuck Brown. Oh yes, that list of artists is sweeter than buttercream icing and this show will definitely set my birthday weekend off right.
