Last week we gave you a heads up that not only is Dionne Farris returning to the scene this year with a new album, but if you live in the Washington, DC area then she'll be returning here as well for her first concert in years at the grand opening of the 2010 Can A Sista Rock A Mic? Music and Arts Festival. The official kick off happens on Wednesday, June 9th at Liv with Dionne singing her old hits and giving folks a preview of her new music. Also on the bill is Bounce-Worthy songbird Leah Smith, who is an excellent live performer. Needless to say, this is the only place that you need to be next Wednesday if you're in the DMV, and we're hooking one lucky Bouncer and their guest up with free tickets to attend.
