Saunders Sermons Makes It 'Rain'

After coming out of nowhere last year with his debut EP, Classic Delight, which both ill Mami and I (as well as many of you) fell hard for, Saunders Sermons is returning this August with two new projects for fans to fall in love with all over again. He's breaking us off with an R&B/soul vocal set, entitled Just What She Needs, and a jazz instrumental album, entitled A Ladies Handbook, from which the single below, a remake of SWV's hit "Rain," comes from. Saunders' trombone takes center stage on "Rain," which he plays in such a way that you might mistake it for a sax. There'll be no mistaking what I'll be doing in late August, however, when both albums become available. Until then, download "Rain" from iTunes, get ready for his new single from Just What She Needs to be released in the next few weeks and catch Saunders making it do what it do on tour with Maxwell this summer. [Photo: Diamond Digital Portraits]
