Full disclosure: Sade was the first artist who I saw in concert who sounded better live than on record. This was back in the mid-'90s during the Love Deluxe tour, and I was shocked and awed then and 15 years later I'm still amazed whenever I see her perform. Granted, those performances have just been on television recently, but I'll take Sade however I can get her/them until the next concert tour kicks off. And with their appearance on last night's Dancing With the Stars, performing the new single "Babyfather" and the timeless hit "Sweetest Taboo," I am in a state of rapture once again. The clip of "Babyfather" can be found after the bounce, but it was the performance of "Taboo" that delivered bliss. I really could have done without the barely in sync dancers, but they didn't take away from her performance that much. It was all about Sade's singing for me, and she sounded excellent as usual.
