Prince Makes The 'Time 100,' We Are Thankful

Amid a slew of younger or more consistently headline-grabbing people that made it onto the Time 100 list of artists is the elder statesman of flyness himself, Prince. The accompanying write up--done by '80s pop reflection go-to Usher--is frank in its praise. One wonders what more could be said about his prolific and groundbreaking career other than "he is the s___," which sums it up nicely.

As we're all still reeling from the premature death of MJ, Usher is right to call out The Purple One's legacy as a contrast to that of The Gloved One. To be clear, there is no clean comparison. Nor is there a competition. But Michael's passing really shone a light in our collective eyes when it comes to venerating our music icons. Elusive, ethereal, and obscenely talented, Prince, the sexiest of M.F., deserves our thanks. [TIME]
