Hip Hop Has Some Sleepy Sounds For The Springtime
Listening to both Mos Def's and Wu-Tang's Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and Method Man's latest tracks, I noticed a similarity. While Mos' track was not filled with nearly as much profanity--even for my potty mouth--as The Brothers Wu and the coke game trifles were thankfully absent, I did notice a particularly sleepy vibe that seemed to be emanating from both of them. Coincidence? A by-product of too many late-night-blunts-and-dark-liquor situations? Who knows. I do know that I like them both enough to make mention of them here. Likely, these will both be tracks that will be heavily featured on mixtapes in the future, especially the King of The Hip Hop Nerds, Mos Def.
