March 30th can't come soon enough around these parts. That's the day when Erykah Badu drops her latest opus, New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh,
and to say that we're fiending for it here at SBHQ would be an understatement of epic proportions. She has us open with "Window Seat," which visitors to her website can now hear in its entirety when they logon in addition to seeing a countdown clock to the release date. But what will really catch your eye is a preview of the album's cover art. Whereas the cover to Part One was dark to reflect the tone of the album, Part Two's artwork is the picture of Spring with a calming palette of purples, pinks, greens and blues and a robotic Badu at the center of it all. This looks to be the work of frequent collaborator E.M.E.K. who has been doing her artwork for the past few years. Lovely. [H/T: OKP]
