Quiet Bounce: Wipe Your 'Tears Away'
I fell in love with Faith Evans the moment I heard her voice. Her voice, combined with Chucky Thompson's signature production, embodied the sexiness of '90s R&B. My favorite Faith ballad isn't found on any of her albums, it's nestled in the tracklist of the Hav Plenty movie soundtrack. "Tears Away" has Faith's strong vocals and Chucky's signature rhythm providing a sultry backdrop to a first kiss or skin-quivering caress. Let this anthem of healing and escape cascade through your ears and into your dreams.

cjayconrod | November 12, 2009 4:24 PM | PermalinkWow thanks for sharing. I love Faithe, and love the song. I never heard it until now. Just tried to get it off of itunes but they won't let me get just the Faith song.
Divo | November 12, 2009 4:00 PM | PermalinkYes this was a gem! Does anybody know what Chucky Thompson is doing these days?? I've heard he's worked with Nas in the past but I could use a second Frankie album.
Mell-O | November 12, 2009 2:48 PM | PermalinkHad never heard this one, but I love FAITH...and this just reminds me why!
DLS77 | November 12, 2009 2:05 PM | PermalinkThe 90's delivered the best movie soundtracks. Nothing currently can compare on the R&B or hip-hop side.
NapTown's Native Son | November 12, 2009 1:56 AM | PermalinkThis is the song...along with Kissing You from the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack. I have HavPlenty on VHS and still watch it. The Jackson 5 remake by SWV was good too...and Coko's duet was good as well.
This song could have been on Faith's second album...Anything You Need is another gem in this style of chill R&B with blazin' vocals.
Purofrijolero | November 12, 2009 1:11 AM | PermalinkAINT THIS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS SHE EVER DONE!!!!!!!!!!!! I WISH WE COULD HEAR MORE LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Ed | November 12, 2009 12:49 AM | PermalinkThis was the best song on that soundtrack! Was much better than the actors in the film. I still bump this on a regular.
