Offered as a free download from Los Angeles based group Stedapol C.C. Watt, "Samba Soul" opens with a percussive introduction that is soon joined by organ hits and a simple chord progression strummed on the electric guitar. The vocals from Rodney Gardiner come in even stronger, and manage to counterbalance everything else going on with the instrumentation with their sheer dynamism. The result is highly infectious. After each drop into the chrous "Samba Soul" builds on itself to the point that by the fifth minute you'll probably find yourself moving uncontrollably to the rhythm. And then just as it feels like too much is just enough, the song ends.
