Alicia Keys Visits 'Today', Speaks On Lil Mama Incident
Watching Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb host the fourth hour of the Today Show is something I need to do more often. No, for real, they may be certifiably insane. All this time, when Saturday Night Live would do skits about the two, I thought they were going way over the top. Turns out they may have been a little too tame. Alicia Keys paid the dizzying duo a "surprise" visit this week to promote her new single and album, and of course the two peppered her--in rapid succession--with questions about Lil Mama and Kanye. The entire segment reminded me of those scenes where a person is walking in slow motion (Alicia, being remarkably calm and collected, as if their hysteria had no visible effect) as everything around them is sped up times 1000. What I did love is how they finally got Alicia to speak on Lil Mama, giving what I think is one of the best quotes I've heard in a while. Check the clip below to see what I mean. I think I'll watch again, too. I need more of these women in my life.

I'm not an Alicia Keyes fan, but she handled the interview very well. It's rare to see a lady on television these days....

Not only is she beautiful but babygirl is intelligent (Beyonce take note, get some speak classes) talented, did I mention fine as all out doors? I dont know if she did break up a marriage or if she is still kicking with Swizz beats but if she isnt, I wanna wife her, damn I wanna wife her:)

This is why Alicia is so dope....
And props to Beyonce too for keeping it classy at the end of the VMAs, giving Taylor Swift her due time on the stage....

You know Lil' Mama ain't on her Christmas card list, but she didn't spark any further controversy. Well played, Ms. Keys. Well played.
