Soul On Film, Video SoulBounce

Mary J.'s New Video Clip Isn't 'Bad' At All

So, we've already seen the trailer for Tyler Perry's latest spun tale of urban redemption film, I Can Do Bad All By Myself. We also already know that both Gladys Knight and Mary J. Blige will be acting in the film, with us crossing our fingers that they don't embarrass us and themselves come across as believable. However, in this latest clip from the film, we get to see Mary prominently displayed, doing what she does best--sing. Here, she's putting it down in a fictitious nightclub, belting out the film's bluesy title track. I have a feeling these two minutes might just be better than the entire film. But I've been wrong before. In the meantime, the song's below.

Yes, I do think the dark hair looks better on Mary also. I like the song; nice and soulful; what Mary's been neglecting lately. I just don't think anyone would ever really hear something like that at a nightclub though. And ahhhh the church scene. Wouldn't be a TP movie without one! Dude from CSI:Miami is looking good though!

She looks so good with dark hair. Hopefully she will give the bleach a break for awhile.

These are the songs Mary's fans love....

Everytime Mary does a movie I go back to that episode of the Jamie Foxx Show where Ron Isley is her father.

Hopefully this isn't terrible.

Mary does those drama filled songs really well.
