Siedah Garrett's Tribute To The 'Man'
Of the many tributes to Michael Jackson that have rolled in (and there have been quite a few), this one, by singer/songwriter Siedah Garrett, touched me the most. Not because her and MJ were BFF's (she admits she wasn't especially close to MJ), but because as a musical collaborator ("I Just Can't Stop Loving You") and writer of one of his most poignant and personal songs--"Man In The Mirror"--it just seemed like she was. her words brought out the vulnerability in Michael. Made him more human. She brought that same passion with her this past weekend when she appeared with the Agape International Choir, singing the song she penned for the King of Pop more than 20 years ago. I'm almost glad a tear fell from my eye by the second verse, as it hopefully will prepare me for tomorrow's funeral service. Nah, probably not. Sigh. Check after the bounce for MJ's "Mirror" performance from the 1988 Grammy Awards.

I agree with stoneyisland ... definitely the best tribute i've seen!!
It's a given that we will get an MJ tribute album this side of christmas, I just hope that whoever decides to compile it has taken notice of tributes such as this (and others from Yahzarah, Sy Smith, Natalie Stewart, Marsha Ambrosius, Raphael Saadiq etc) and dosn't fill it with the 'usual suspects'.
