'This Is The Life' Is Finally Seeing The Light Of Day

Since we told you all about This Is The Life, a documentary directed by Ava Du Vernay, word has come that after touring several festival circuits, this look at Hip Hop in early '90s Los Angeles is now ready for public consumption. Exploring the scene that emerged from The Good Life Health Food CafĂ©, this movie lets it be known that despite it's reputation as the birthplace of Gangsta Rap, the LA Hip Hop scene was so much more. Featuring appearances by Chali2na of Jurassic 5, Cut Chemist, femcee Medusa, and many more, Chuck D as said that this movie represents "a story that has been missing from our cultural consciousness."  If you want to get a taste of raw, rugged and uncut Hip Hop from a city most slept on, make sure to grab this up on DVD starting today.
