Anthony Hamilton 'Plays It Cool' With Cooke Classic
Anthony Hamilton is one of those artists that other artists love. It's his voice, and his range, and the way he tackles everything he sings. Thankfully for those of us who weren't able to catch him on the latest leg of his "Playin' It Cool" tour, he's recorded the shows and broke them up into separate videos for our viewing pleasure. Since is truly the Year of Change, Ant followed in line with other artists and served up his take on the Sam Cooke classic, "A Change is Gonna Come." This is a more laid-back Hamilton performance than I'm used to (some might call it understated), but of course his voice carries it home. My suggestion? Press play, and then sit back, close your eyes and listen, while simultaneously thinking of Ant as a waiter. Because he's got your "change" right there. Heh.

Luv Anthony....clips from his concerts are appreciated especially since I missed his show in ATL. Blessings!

His version of this classic is spot on. I have also heard him cover Marvin Gaye's What's Going On and it was great. Hope he makes a visit to the UK in '09.
