John Legend & Brandy Get It Together 'Quickly'
Every Friday should be like this. You know, the one before (what is hopefully for everyone) a long weekend. One that allows us to bring you new music from two SoulBounce faves--John Legend and Brandy. The pair has collaborated on a track entitled "Quickly," which will appear on Legend's Evolver (in stores October 28th). The Midi Mafia-produced, mid-tempo banger is pitch perfect, showcasing both voices as they beg each other to love quickly, before everything going on in the world messes up their groove. Newsflash: Nothing can disturb this groove. Now I really can't wait for both artists to drop their albums (Brandy's Human has its release on December 9th.) This joint will definitely whet your appetite for both. Rock it before you start your weekend. It's one of those songs that will surely, and quickly, be stuck in your head. In a really good way. Yup, every Friday should be like this. Enjoy.

Teeka | November 13, 2008 8:24 PM | PermalinkThe producers are Dirty Swift & Bruce Wayne of Midi Mafia and a new guy Dapo Torimiro for Dapomiro Productions. You can check out the Wikipedia page for more info. (Or the cd liner notes.) I found Dapomiro Prod. website and included it here.

soulzkidd | October 11, 2008 4:03 PM | PermalinkAutotune is fine so lon as those that are using it, aren't dependent on it. I think if used in the right song with the right voices, it makes sense and it can add a nice effect to the songs point-of-view.
That said, this is one of the best tracks of 2008 and one of the best duets of the last five years. Two REAL singers doing their thing.
Wendell | October 11, 2008 1:39 PM | PermalinkAutotune, autoplay, automobile whatever, I'm feeling it! I was rocking to it last night. I think Johnny is back with this album. Brandy sounds good.
