Battle of the Beats
Who Would You Rather 'Spend the Night' With? Rahsaan or Donell?
Rahsaan Patterson and Donell Jones are two of our most beloved artists here at SoulBounce.
They remind us that male R&B isn't dead and that real singers are still out there, lest The Dream had you fooled. Both artists have put out consistently good material and built up huge followings since stepping into the soul arena in the mid-nineties. I'm hoping that fans of both will chime in on today's Battle of the Beats that features Rahsaan and Donell going head-to-head with their songs "Spend the Night." Quite frankly, both of these songs are tight in their own way; Rahsaan's with its mellow vibe and Donell's with its mid-tempo groove. I declare a draw, but have your say in the comments about who has the more compelling argument to have a sleepover.

You do not understand how much I played Rahsaan Patterson's record over and over and over again. This is one of my favorites, so I'm going with Rahsaan because I LOVED HIM FIRST ha ha.

Felisa | September 9, 2008 8:10 PM | PermalinkMan that is such an HARD choice. Both these songs are stellar. Spend The Night by Rahsaan P is my favorite song by him. Hyper that reference about Rah was cold ( lol). You didnt have to go there. Donnell version is hot. It has been a minute since he released something I really enjoyed. My vote is Rahsaan. I seen this man LIVE many times he performs this song different everytime I see him. I cant say the say the same for D.
