John Legend Slows It Down With 'Good Morning'
Another week, another leak from John Legend's album Evolver, which is due next month. The track, entitled "Good Morning," finds JL in chill mode, taking it back to the slow jams that populated most of his last album, Once Again. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but truthfully, I'm hoping this album is filled with more songs of the "Green Light" ilk. Maybe it will be. We'll see. If you're a true Legend fan, you'll probably love this song. Either way, I can't wait for more leaks the album to drop to see what else John has in store. Enjoy.

jamaicanbwoydre | October 3, 2008 3:49 PM | PermalinkHeard it for the first time yesterday and I was mesmorized by his soothing lyrics and soulful sound. It's the kind of song that sets the mood for romance and no one has to say a word.

a_lurker_speaks | September 30, 2008 2:16 PM | PermalinkThis one is aiight, I like laid-back. So far my favorite I've heard is 'No Other Love' ft. Estelle it kinda has the island-vibe of her song 'Come Over' so I though that was cool. 'It's Over' with Kanye is just aiight as well.
'Green Light' is just not for me. I do like how Brandy sounds on 'Quickly' but I just don't think I'm ready for him to go so far away from being traditionally soulful.
MuseSik | September 30, 2008 1:54 PM | Permalinkyeah...i'm a true Legend fan. and i really like this. don't quite love it though.
the album needs to have some of this and some green light stuff. still, is it just me, but is mr. legend missing some of the hunger he had on the first album? the music sounds a little.....easy. maybe it's just me.
