I think we're going to have to start a new category called "Side-Eye Alert!!!" or "The Crack Files", anything to accomodate the jankery spilling from the mouths of entertainers these days. A New York Post item titled "'Whitney Drove Me To Drugs'" accompanied with Bobby Brown's photo has us wondering if Whitney Houston simply drove him in her car to a place to get crack because his license was suspended or something like that. If you believe she was instrumental in getting Bobby addicted to drugs, raise your hand. Now slap yourself with that same hand.
"I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice," Brown writes in Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But, out next month. "At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably. I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin, weed and cooked cocaine."
While we don't think Whitney was any kind of saint pre-Bobby, trying to make us believe she got him "on drugs" is like saying Brooke Shields is responsible for making Michael Jackson aware of little boys. Entries like these practically write themselves.
