Wale: From DC to the UK to Interscope

wale-2349027.jpgWale (pronounced "wah-lay") represents DC hard, perhaps harder than any other artist that is a native. "Back in the Go-Go" has some familiar Go-Go percussion, courtesy of Best Kept Secret (who recently utilized it on Rhymefest's "Cant Make It") with Pusha T of The Clipse and Bun B on the assist. The track comes from Wale's forthcoming Mixtape About Nothing, inspired by Seinfeld ("Wale is my favorite artist because he's the only one who ever included me in a mixtape -- hear that, P. Diddy?"-Julia Louis-Dreyfus).

Us Washingtonians are proud that Wale is now part of the Interscope roster, via being signed to Mark Ronson's Allido Records. Props to Elite Taste for the track and for keeping us abreast of Wale's career path. More Wale audio and links after the bounce.
