Janelle Monáe continues to impress me with her absolute refusal to conform. With "Many Moons" she recalls, among other things, Sesame Street, and expands on the fun, optimistic madness established with "Violet Stars, Happy Hunting". Janelle is changing the game by releasing her Metropolis album as a 4-EP suite to keep herself fresh, and us on our toes.
