A couple weeks ago, Alicia Keys got us open with her silky smooth single "LALA (Unlocked)," which found her duetting with Swae Lee over a velvety swatch of '70s soul. She's taken the single to the MTV Video Music Awards since then for a ritzy performance that also incorporated her ode to NYC, "Empire State Of Mind." But we just knew she wouldn't leave us hanging without a stellar visual for the cut. The singer has delivered just that with the song's new video.
We're automatically taken to one of the swankiest affairs we've witnessed at the video's beginning. The two stars are dressed to the nines and draped in the finest fabrics and jewels. But they aren't the only glitterati on display. They've also brought a few of their famous friends to delight in the old-school vibe. That includes the likes of Lena Waithe, Lucky Daye, Snoop Dogg, Alicia's hubby Swizz Beatz and the song's producer Mike WiLL Made It. When they're not giving us the worst case of FOMO that we've ever had, they're just having a good time and letting the liquor flow like water.
Is "LALA (Unlocked)" the sign of more to come from Alicia Keys in the near future? Quite possibly. We're content to let her announce that in her own time, though. Until then, you can vibe out and get into the party life when you watch the video below.
