Jon Vinyl Wants To Spend Some Time Relaxing In The 'Void'

Jon Vinyl is an artist to watch. The Toronto-based singer-songwriter has been serenading fans with singles since 2017. This year, he caught our ear and eyes with his single "Told You" and its visual. Now he's back on our minds again thanks to the release of his brand-new cut "Void."

"Void" is an interesting track. Despite any negative connotations that its title might evoke, the song is really all about unplugging for a spell while enjoying the life he's created with his significant other. "Look at how far we came / From cold nights in the basement / To long flights and vacations," he sings on the opening verse. "Lord knows, we made it far / So, I'm not complaining / It's my time to sit back / I wanna bask in the moment." Helping him take in all those relaxing vibes is a dreamy arrangement of guitar, soft chords, drums and layered vocals. It makes for an inviting groove that's perfect to get closer than close to.

It's been rumored that Jon Vinyl has a project in the works, though details on what to expect and when to expect it are scarce. If "Void" is indicative of the quality of what he'll be bringing, you can believe that we'll be ready to listen.
