Just weeks after she released her tempting collab with ROMderful “Uh Huh Okay,” consummate creative Emmavie returns with more heat with her sumptuous single “Tune.” This time she teamed up with previous collaborator DT Soul on keys and bassist Skripture, and she does what she does best on the self-produced track. After declaring, “Emmavie’s got a tune for you,” at its opening, she holds nothing back as she details her desire for her lover. Her signature, bouncy cadence amidst masterfully layered harmony has become the staple we seek with each release, and this latest bop is no different.
While the two singles provide the perfect playlist for steamy summertime romance, it seems Emmavie is preparing to keep the fire going well beyond the season. Word on the street is that fans across the pond and abroad can look forward to a new EP later this summer. While we can’t be sure that she won’t treat us to a few more tasty tunes along the way, her catalogue gives us plenty to vibe to in the meantime. Timeless offerings like her 2019 album Honeymoon and her epic collaboration with fellow Londoner Alfa Mist, Epoch, have remained in constant rotation, and we look forward to adding the new project to our soulful stash.
