We're still in the heat of Summer 2021, and there have been many jams that have soundtracked those hot and humid days. However, we might have the strongest contender for Song of the Summer thanks to singer BeMyFiasco. The singer is the newest signee to the +FE Music family after already being a regular collaborator with the collective. She makes a splashy label debut with her super sweet single "Caramel."
"Caramel" is produced by Zo! and Phonte and has a sound that nods to the late '70s and early '80s with elements of funk and boogie that lay the foundation for synths that glide over the groove like skaters at a roller disco. BeMyFiasco finds the sweet spot of the song and stays in that pocket the moment the chorus comes in. "Just let me ride / I'll be your sweet, sweet caramel," she sings to the rhythm as layered backing vocals support her honeyed vocal. She also lets listeners know that she's got the confection you need, singing on the bridge, "You'll love me with ease / I'll be anything you need / Sticky, salty, bitter, sweet / Wrapped up individually." With a sound so delectable, it's hard not to keep coming back to this one for more.
BeMyFiasco is currently in the studio with Phonte working on her +FE Music debut. If this new single is an example of what's to come, then we're just going to get our coins together now. Satisfy your sweet tooth and get into your new favorite Song of the Summer when you listen to the singer's "Caramel" below.
