PJ Morton Brings Bounce Back To The Holidays For The ‘Deluxe Edition’ Of ‘Christmas with PJ Morton’

After dropping an acoustic album, releasing a gospel album, lending his voice to several collaborations and compilation projects, plus hosting The Culture Trivia Show, PJ Morton owes us nothing…not a single thing…for the rest of the year. Seriously, we’re starting to think that he and Terrace Martin never sleep. Not that we’re complaining, we’re just in awe. And thankful for all this good music! Welp, it looks like PJ has done it again just in time for the holidays with a Deluxe Edition release of his 2018 project Christmas With PJ Morton.

The festive set features all 8 songs from the original collection, including gospel song “Do You Believe” with Yolanda Adams, he and Stokley Williams‘ update of Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and a NOLA bounce rendition of Donny Hathaway‘s “This Christmas” featuring HaSizzle. Two new songs are added to the tracklist this time around. Gifted singer-songwriter/pianist Sheléa joins PJ for a groovy spin on the heartwarming classic “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” Unsurprisingly, their voices complement each other like hot chocolate on a snowy day. Speaking of snow, Morton adds another dose of nostalgia and wishes for icy weather with “White Christmas.” Brightened with joyous horns and soulful harmonies, the perennial standard is the perfect way to close out the album.

Christmas With PJ Morton (Deluxe Edition) belongs on every playlist this season. Visit PJ’s store or download the project from your favorite retailer. Afterwards, check out his recent video with JoJo for “Wishlist” (from her album, December Baby) and check out “I Can’t Wait x Tak Bisa Bersama,” a mash-up/collaboration (featuring “I Can’t Wait”) with Indonesian artist Vidi Aldiano.
