Knxwledge Kicks Off His Big Year With 'Do You'

New year, new Knxwledge. The prolific producer, who you might know as one-half of NxWorries with Anderson .Paak, had a pretty busy 2019 with a couple releases under his belt. However, this year promises the official follow up to his 2015 debut Hud Dreems and possibly a few more projects to come. To get the ball rolling, he's dropped his first single of the year with "Do You."

"Do You" is an instrumental track that shows off the undeniable finesse that he has when it comes to music. The track is built upon a melodic piano and synth loop, with Knxwledge adding his signature drums and other elements that make it all his own. From there, he simply allows the groove he's created to simmer a bit while adding a slight build here and there. The track then abruptly stops as we're treated to a brief conversation before segueing into a sample of Gerald Levert's "Just Because I'm Wrong," which closes the song out.

The track is short, to the point and just enough to have us anticipating what's to come from the producer. In fact, his label Stones Throw teases more on the way on YouTube, captioning the track "New album on the way, Spring 2020." Knxwledge stokes those flames even more on SoundCloud, where he wrote, "1st of a few 2020 stones throw albums." Oh snap! 2020 might be the year that we get more Knxwledge than we know what to do with.
