Jamiroquai, Grace Jones, The Roots, Soul II Soul & More To Hit The Stage At London’s ONBlackheath Festival

The lineup for this summer’s ONBlackheath Festival has been announced, and by the looks of things, they didn’t come to play this year. Set to take place July 13th & 14th, organizers have tapped Jamiroquai and the legendary Grace Jones as the headliners. If that wasn’t reason enough to make your way across the pond, other acts include The Roots, Soul II Soul and Incognito.

Rounding out the list of performers who have been announced thus far are Morcheeba, The Brand New Heavies, Jacob CollierSwing Out SisterRag’N’Bone ManUB40 featuring Ali Campbell & Astro, James Morrison, Jacob Collier, SG Lewis and Aswad. The exciting roster will perform across two stages with Jay Kay and crew closing out Saturday night while Jones will help bring the festivities to a close that Sunday.

In addition to checking out this dope lineup, festival attendees can make it a family affair by heading over to The Family Playground section of the venue where they can take in performances by Andy and the Odd Socks and Mister Maker Live, visit the mini zoo or participate in a host of other interactive activities. When it’s time to eat, festival-goers can enjoy the best food that London has to offer thanks to a partnership with Street Feast, which operates several street food markets across the city.

Previously held in September, this year’s event marks the first time that the festival will take place in July at Blackheath Common. According to the website, ONBlackheath was created in an effort to celebrate that part of London while also providing a family-friendly festival “showcasing the best in local and international artists, serving up amazing food, and offering a world of fun for our younger visitors.”

Tickets for the 6th ONBlackheath Festival are set to go on sale Friday, April 12th. With a lineup like this, we’re sure that they won’t last long so be sure to check out the official website for more information.
