Kehlani Emerges As A 'Butterfly'

Kehlani continues to ride on the promo train ahead of the birth of her baby. She dropped her mixtape While We Wait at the end of February, and now she's giving us the colorful visuals to her single "Butterfly." With big hair and body paint, Kehlani infuses art and creativity into her new visual to keep our eyes glued to the screen. The blue-hued video is short and sweet, running just under 3 minutes.

Kehlani appears in the video with a blue butterfly glued to her face and remains seated for its entirety. Chilling in a trippy cocoon-like structure, she sings as male twins dance in tandem, pulling some of the silk strings. The track explores love and how it feels when it first arrives, as she holds her belly in some shots and stares lovingly at the camera in others. The video is simple, beautiful and Kehlani looks ready to deliver more than just music as she sits perched and ready to become a mom.

After Kehlani ended our wait for new music, we're now waiting to see if she has more videos to give us before she goes off on maternity leave. We've so far received visuals for "Nights Like This," "Nunya" and now "Butterfly," all from her new mixtape. Watch the video for "Butterfly" and Kehlani's artsy interpretation of her latest single right here.
