VanJess Has Us 'Addicted 2' Their Remix EP With Bas & Krs.

Nigerian-American sister act VanJess gave us our entire life last summer when they dropped their long-awaited debut Silk Canvas. We've dedicated many pages to our addiction to their music and we're not alone in our obsession. Seductive slow jam "Addicted" surpassed 5 million streams, thanks-in-part to Jessica Nwokike and Ivana Nwokike serving up lewks throughout the captivating visuals and then blowing us away with their stunning COLORS performance. Now in the new year, the song continues to gain steam with the release of a maxi-single featuring remixes and instrumentals.

The six-track remix EP begins with the original IAMNOBODI-produced tune (because, yes, we need to hear it again). What's interesting, though, is the '90s-leaning outro that left us nodding our heads in 2018 has now been flipped into a fully fleshed-out track dubbed "Addicted 2 (Keep Cool Remix)." VanJess bodies the remix, wholly embracing the era and giving us Zhane and Total vibes. Produced by Jay Kurzweil, the track also features Paris-born/New York-raised Sudanese rapper Bas, who drops a flava-packed verse. Next, the ladies switch gears yet again as Krs. infuses reggae riddims throughout the song to create a "Dancehall Edit" of the infectious groove. Even with a quickened pace, the track retains the sultry vibe of the original and the end result is pure fiyah.

Rounding out the collection is a trio of instrumentals for each of the previous songs. With Valentine's Day coming up, the talented duo dropped this just in time to add to your romantic playlists. Stream the maxi-single below and purchase a copy via your favorite digital retailer. Rumor has it that VanJess will be dropping more new music this year, so stay tuned to their Twitter and Intagram feeds to keep up with the latest.
