Nick Hakim Gets 'Cuffed' During A Spiritual Journey & Heads On Tour

Soulful crooner Nick Hakim will always choose the road less traveled when it comes to his art. In the music video for his latest single "Cuffed," he decides to take us on a creative spiritual journey. Directed by Daniel Kaufman, Nick explores renewal and a six-part ritual. To add more ethereal eeriness to the video, he enlists the help of dance choreographer Monica Mirabile from the performance art collective FlucT.  With creativity on his side, the crooner takes us on a trip in a New York forest where he and his clique go through each ritual that will keep your eyes glued to the screen.

While Nick's voice typically evokes various emotions as you listen, the music paired with the visuals makes it even more haunting. "You handcuffed yourself to your mother's bed that one night / You left the front door unlocked waiting for me to arrive home," he sings. If you feel lost while watching the black-and-white clip, you may be following along just fine because the last ritual is "forgetting."

Taken from Nick's debut album Green Twins, "Cuffed" and its Jamie Lidell remix have easily become a favorite. If you want to see and experience Nick in all his glory, you can catch him on tour journeying from North America to Europe this autumn.
