Miguel dropping the remix to his single "waves" yesterday and the whole #waves saga (if you missed it, check the hashtag on Twitter or Instagram), were a complete coincidence, but the new version of the crooner's track is right on time. Enlisting the help of rapper Travi$ Scott, Miguel wants to make sure you ride with him and his homie for at least three minutes. It's not too much to ask since the remix gives us more of the rocker Miguel we appreciate. Unlike the dance-inspired original, Miguel slows this version down a tad and adds more bass to give your subwoofers a workout. Produced by Cash Dillon, the song borrows most of what the original single has to offer in terms of party-ready vibes and Travi$ adds more ripples to the shindig with a quick verse.
While Miguel sings about riding his woman's waves, you can't help but bring your surfboard along as Travi$ instructs because it sounds really good. You can still cop Wildheart if it's not in your album collection yet, but while we leave you to listen to Miguel and Travi$'s "waves (Remix)" it should probably be noted that Miguel did it first, too, Kanye.
