Young Atlanta musician Raury has made quite a major come up over the past year, and his use of the Internet has played a major role in that. Just a year after the release of his well-received Indigo Child EP, the new Columbia Records signee has announced his forthcoming debut album, All We Need, and released the lead single “Friends” along with its accompanying music video. The song itself is an uplifting folk rock number that features Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello. As for the video, Raury is sticking to what he knows and using the Internet to help keep his journey moving along.

Raury’s “Friends” video opens up with the “Cigarette Song” singer preparing to embark on a road trip with a friend, but instead of dialing up Megabus or Amtrak, the kid takes to Twitter to ask his friends and fans for a ride. Raury and his fellow ATLien friend are essentially new-aged hitchhikers and to be honest, they make this trip look like a whole lot of fun as they make many new friends along the way. We're not sure that we would advise you to follow in their footsteps, but we will say that this song and video are quite enjoyable. Get into “Friends” right here, and head over to iTunes to pre-order Raury’s All We Need, which will be released on October 16th.
