India Shawn and James Fauntleroy have leaked yet another single from their forthcoming Outer Limits EP and our excitement grows stronger with each release. The latest offering, "One Sun," follows "More or Less" and title track "Outer Limits," making this the third preview in as many weeks.
Driven by muted congo rhythms, the leisurely-paced ballad is an ode to the sometimes complicated process of falling (and staying) in love. If you can conquer obstacles like stubbornness ("Why should I choose if you don't have to?") and uncertainty ("I know you love me / Does that make me yours?"), the end result is totally worth it ("It's not two, it's one love."). Ms. Shawn keeps her delicate vocals from being overly saccharine by infusing just the right mix of sass and allure. Mr. Fauntleroy's vocal contribution mainly stays in the background, yet his smooth tenor seamlessly blends with the songstress to create something special.
