Teairra Mari Returns With What She Thinks We 'Deserve'

After spending the first season of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Hollywood acting a complete fool with her on-again, off-again beau Ray-J, former Roc-A-Fella Records artist Teairra Mari is finally getting back to the music and reminding us what she does best. Tearri’s fresh new single is out and it is called “Deserve,” not to be confused with Mama Dee’s “I Deserve,” and finds the R&B songstress recognizing that she’s worth more than the lies, games and shenanigans.

This Yung Berg-produced record could easily mark the “Make Her Feel Good” singer’s second chance, as it’s quite enjoyable. Not only does it take a stab at that Drake sound that many artists have taken note of and inspiration from as of late, but it showcases Teairra’s growth in an unexpected way. If only she had realized that she deserved better before signing that contract with Mona Scott-Young and turning up for VH1’s cameras. Nonetheless, get into Teirra Mari’s new sound and look out for more from her in the near future.
