Around this time last year, The Internet and Bobby Earth dropped two of my favorite projects of 2013, The Internet's Feel Good and Bobby Earth's The Book of Genesynth. Now both are teaming up, kinda sorta. Matt Martians, one half of The Internet, enlists Earth on his latest song, "I Kno U Kno." On the track, Earth does his best at wooing a special someone who has caught his eye. Clocking in at under two minutes, Earth wastes no time in making his intentions known as he croons, "But your body is a canvas and I'm the artist, finger painting your curves with my energy." For his part, Martians crafts a sensual, yet futuristic groove that is the perfect backdrop for Earth's brand of space age pimping.
With Jameel Bruner (brother of bassist Thundercat) on keys and Steve Lacy on bass, "I Kno U Kno" is a short, but oh-so-sweet offering from Martians and Earth that will leave you wanting for more. The song is the second song Martian has released on his SoundCloud page over the past two weeks. While there's no word on whether any of the songs will ever see the light of day, they're still worth taking a listen to while we wait on new music from The Internet.
