Common & Big Sean Shine Like 'Diamonds'

Big Sean Common Smiling

Common is keeping us on our toes by dropping singles from his upcoming album, Nobody's Smiling. This time, the bald one teams up with Big Sean to shine on the new track "Diamonds." The song starts with Big Sean groaning and getting his champagne popping before being joined by Common and his clever wordplay. Chi-town’s finest pontificates about shining, rapping, “I’ma be shining 'til I die, man/I’m a rare diamond that’s hard to find, man." Both G.O.O.D. Music fellas are complimented by a mid-tempo beat by producer No I.D. Always representing Chicago, Common sounds good on the track and imparts his positivity on us while standing on his hip-hop soap box.

Although Big Sean adds a jovial element to the track, he wasn’t really necessary. But we do appreciate the pairing and can’t wait to see what else Common has in store for us. Nobody’s Smiling will be officially released on July 22nd, and you can pre-order it on iTunes. In the meantime, are Common and Big Sean shining on this new single or do they need a little more polish?
