Laura Mvula is having a pretty good September. She is also currently on the road with soul darlings KING who've been warming audiences up for her on her US tour, which has been selling out shows and getting rave reviews. The positive reviews also carry over to Mvula's debut album Sing to the Moon that has had us enthralled since March and in the past week alone been nominated for four MOBO Awards and a Mercury Prize for 2013 Album of the Year. While we cross our fingers that Laura comes out victorious, we'll enjoy Applejac's remix of her single "Green Garden" that breathes new life into the track. Whereas the original had a vintage Nina Simone old soul appeal to it, Applejac's "Let Go Remix" updates the sound with a sophisticated nu soul remix ready to fill a dance floor or chill out to at a lounge. Laura has already shared a number of "Green Garden" remixes on her Mvula Remixed SoundCloud page, but Applejac's take on it is far superior to those posted in my opinion.
