Acer Maple, the UK-based soul/folk duo made up of Danny Fisher and Dave Austin, released their debut EP, Early, in February last year. The six-song collection was beautiful in its simplicity, combining emotive songwriting and Sharlene Hector's stunning vocals with an acoustic backdrop. Although Early was Acer Maple's debut, both musicians have been in the business for at least 15 years, working with some of London's most respected artists such as Tawiah, Bembe Segue, Natalie Williams, Vula Malinga, and Michelle Escoffrey. It was the aforementioned Escoffrey whom the duo chose to lay down the vocals on their latest single "Welcome," and what a choice it was. Michelle must be THE most underrated singer/songwriter in London.
