When I saw a tweet earlier this afternoon about a remix to my favorite song from Janelle Monáe's The ArchAndroid my eyes widened and ears perked up. Just what could Robert Luis, co-owner and founder of the Tru Thoughts label, have up his sleeve for "Faster"? Well, not only did he have a new mix of "Faster" for my consumption, but I also found a mix that he did of "Dance or Die." On the album, one song blends into the other, so he separated the two to make them more DJ friendly and also added some more drums to Janelle's funk fest. I enjoy what he's done with both tracks. Plus with a cosign from Gilles Peterson and a freeload, you really can't go wrong.
